Sustainable Development, Human Rights and Ecology: SoftServe Joins the UN Global Compact

23.06.2021

SoftServe has become an official member of the UN Global Compact, an initiative that brings businesses worldwide together to implement the principles of sustainable development and corporate responsibility.

The UN Global Compact currently brings together more than 12,000 companies in 160 countries. The initiative's mission is to achieve large-scale social changes globally, rallying businesses around the Ten Principles, including supporting and protecting human rights, eliminating all forms of forced labour, implementing environmental initiatives, and working against corruption.

"For the SoftServe, joining the UN Global Compact initiative is a new step towards building a sustainable business, as well as an opportunity to become part of the global movement of companies that are changing the world for the better future today," noted Yaroslav Lyubinets, Chairman of the Board of Directors at SoftServe.

SoftServe develops the direction of corporate social responsibility systematically. More information about the company's CSR strategy and programs can be found in the company's social reports.

SoftServe has been cooperating with the UN since 2019. The company participated in the Hack for Locals hackathon, which aimed to develop creative digital solutions to solve the problems of local communities. This year, SoftServe joined UNDP's pilot innovation development program - Co-create with Locals. The initiative aims to engage activists in developing innovative solutions in public safety and social cohesion and will be implemented on SoftServe Innovation Platform.
